The Full Story

Hello, my name is James and I am the owner of Stone Circle, the South West’s grave and memorial cleaning service.

After working as a cemetery worker from 2021 to 2026, I spent years speaking with people from all walks of life across Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, and Gloucestershire. Through those conversations, and through the compassion shared in these spaces, I developed a deep respect for our communities, our history, and the people we remember.

During this time, I saw how quickly nature can take over and how, with busy lives and passing time, memorials can sadly become neglected. Many of the families I spoke with wished they could restore their loved ones’ resting places, and whenever I could, I would help in my spare time.

Every service I have attended, I have treated with the same care and respect as I would my own family. After leaving my job and completing voluntary projects in schools across Asia, I returned home with the decision to dedicate myself fully to restoring and caring for memorials throughout the surrounding areas, and that is the origin of stone circle.

My aim is simple — to give people peace of mind when it comes to their loved ones’ memorials and to offer my services with honesty, care, and respect.

Although we all pass in time, it is through memory, and in the hearts of those we touched, that we continue to live on.
